Friday Free Practice:
"I am quite pleased with my performance today. I have never driven on this circuit before and the track was very slippery when I went out this morning. It was difficult just to keep the car on the road. I must continue to work hard, though, and I am sure the lap times will improve."

Saturday Qualifying:
"I am very pleased with this result as it is only my first attempt at qualifying for a Formula One race. Also, if I had managed to go just a little quicker, I might even have got a place in the top 10. I was very pleased with the set-up of the Tyrrell-Ford today. I also feel comfortable in the car since I have done quite a lot of testing with it. Now we must concentrate on getting ready for the race tomorrow. I have done several race distances in testing and I think there is a good chance for a strong result."

Sunday Race:
"It is a disappointing start to my Formula One career, but there was nothing I could do. When Magnussen and Schumacher hit one another and spun off, they threw gravel onto the track in front of me. I tried to brake before I hit it, but the back of my car snapped out and I also spun into the gravel trap. It's a shame because everything was going very well and I had high hopes of a finish in the points. Anyway, now I must concentrate on getting ready for the next race and hope we can do better there."
