"This circuit has quite a different character from the ones we have visited so far this season. It is a place where high-speed handling is very important and I spent most of today working with my race engineer to arrive at a chassis balance with which I can feel confident. We made useful progress, but I feel there are still some improvements to be made, particularly in the area of traction out of corners. Tomorrow is another day, and I am confident of improving my lap times."

"I just couldn't get completely comfortable with the balance of my car this afternoon and despite trying as hard as I could in the final qualifying run, I missed the cut-off point by six hundredths of a second. It is very disappointing."
