Preview:
"I'm enthusiastic about what we achieved in Barcelona. It was a serious step in terms of reliability and performance. Monaco is all about qualifying but we have learned that the car is about a second faster than it was in Imola. To improve that amount these days in Formula One is very difficult. Depending on where we start, we should have a good race. We are reasonably happy with the car's reliability, the balance is good and the traction is getting better. Hopefully we can stay out of trouble, get to the end of the race and score points again."

Свободные заезды (пятница):
"I was hampered by understeer throughout the session which meant that I was struggling to get the power down when I needed to. We tried various changes to try and reduce the understeer and improve traction but we have yet to come up with the ideal set-up. We know we will have to improve on Saturday to be a top 10 contender."

Квалификация (суббота):
"I'm disappointed for the team. We had reached the stage where the set-up was good. I was pushing a little bit on what would have been my best lap and the back end got loose into La Rascasse and I just lost it. I had to push even more in the spare car because it didn't feel as good. I was hoping for a nice birthday present from qualifying. It will have to wait until tomorrow."

"It's a sad way to end a Monaco race. I got by Villeneuve at the start and was looking to conserve tyres and concentrate on a clean race. My times were consistent and the car felt good. All of a sudden I felt something had broken at the rear of the car because it was jumping about a lot and hitting the ground really hard which may have led to a gearbox control problem. Maybe I'll go to the casino tonight and my luck will change."
