Preview:
"Obviously I am delighted to be back in Formula One racing and I am looking forward to a fresh challenge. It was pretty painful having to sit there and watch the other guys race without me.
"I'm excited about the prospect of being part of the Stewart-Ford team. The atmosphere is very good. Everyone is working to the same aim of achieving the best for the team through lots of hard work.
"I know a lot of the people at Stewart-Ford because I have worked with them at other teams in the past so it has made it easier for me to fit in. I realise it's going to be difficult to jump straight back in the car in the middle of the season and be competitive after sitting on the sidelines.
"The other guys have been going at it from the start of the season, whereas my season starts here. I'll just have to concentrate on getting to know the car as soon as I can and continue the progress the team has made so far this season.
"I have always liked Magny Cours. It's a very smooth track, with fast long straights though it is still a difficult place to overtake. It's early days yet, but I learned from the test in Magny Cours that we have to work on adapting the car to suit my driving style. That will come with more testing and more time in the car under race conditions.
"My aim obviously is to get as many miles under my belt as I can. If I can finish the race my next objective would be to get as good a position as I can."

"I'm glad to be back. It's not a wonderful start since I had to sit out the first hour due to an oil system leakage on my installation lap. The oil got on to the rear wheels causing my spin. However in the short time I was able to run the car definitely felt better than it did during testing last week so there are signs that we have made some progress. It's disappointing that I didn't really have a chance to show where I am in relation to the other drivers because I was held up on a quick lap on new tyres towards the end of the session."

Квалификация (суббота):
"I'm very happy to finish where I did in my first qualifying session of the year. We improved the car throughout the session. I lost my first lap due to traffic on turn one. Then I had a problem with the downshift so I know I can find more from the car. It looks promising for the race. I wasn't sure how my body would cope having not been in a race weekend situation for some time, but I feel fine physically and I'm looking forward to tomorrow."

"I'm very happy with finishing my first race for the Stewart-Ford team. Now I know how the car behaves in a race situation. I had a problem engaging first gear at the first start. Then at the re-start I lost a position because I had too much wheel spin. Overall I'm quite satisfied and I will be even more happy when I can get the car going a bit quicker. It was important to get a race distance under my belt, now I have something I can build on. I looking forward to more running at the test before the British Grand Prix. The whole team has put in brilliant performance all weekend and I'm confident of improving in the remainder of the season."
