Свободные заезды (пятница):
"We did some good work with the car today, developing some alternative set ups which improved things throughout the session. We were not able to get a really quick run because the traffic was quite bad, but all in all it was a good day. I would, however, like to apologise to the Minardi team that I pulled in front of one of their cars on the exit of Becketts."

Квалификация (суббота):
"It is great to be on pole here at the team's home Grand Prix and I am extremely happy for them. Everyone did a great job to provide me with a car with such a good balance and which could be improved all the time. We have to take a close look at the tyre situation and see what can be done to re-establish Bridgestone's superiority. Nevertheless to be almost half a second ahead is a lot in Formula One."

"We were looking really good until the heavy rain came down and I had a big spin. I damaged my front wing as I went off and that affected the down force of the car, which meant that I could not turn in on high speed corners. With the safety car coming out and closing down my time advantage over Schumacher, I knew that it would be very difficult to keep him behind me."
