"I have run a lot in both sessions, but I wish I could have done a bit more running on a dry track, to become more familiar with it. I like the Hungaroring, even if it is slightly difficult to learn it, because it is tight and twisty. Today I worked for the first time - and well - with Gianfranco Fantuzzi, my new race engineer. I know that, in the past, at Ferrari, he was taking care of Berger and Capelli: I hope that with his help I will be able to become as good a driver."

"After this morning's lively free practice sessions, when I spun, after I started a bit late, because of a gearbox problem, the qualifying was quite calm, even I cannot say I reached a good result. I pushed as much as I could, on a track that I think I know enough now, after all the kilometers I accumulated yesterday and today. I am ready for tomorrow's race and I absolutely want to give a good result to my team."

"I made a good start, the only positive note of today, as I managed to pass Panis, Nakano and Takagi, but my rhythm was slower than the others and after a few laps I had to move over in order to let my team mate through. Unfortunately, after him, Takagi also passed. There is nothing more to say about the rest of my race, as on 13th lap my engine broke."
