Preview:
"This race is important for the championship, but I will simply concentrate on doing the best job possible for myself and the team. The Nьrburgring should suit our car quite well and although I think the McLaren might still have an advantage, in terms of outright performance, we should be closer to them than at the last race. This track has some overtaking opportunities, the safety facilities are good and the only negative factor is that it might be very cold and wet at this time of year."

Свободные заезды (пятница):
"I concentrated on set-up work, trying one type of tyre. We need to improve the balance of the car and I have too much power understeer, but generally I am quite happy. I think it will be the usual situation with the McLarens having a slight advantage. However we should be closer to them here. I went off near the end of the session and it was not worth rushing to get the car ready to go out again as I had got through the day's programme."

Квалификация (суббота):
"I am delighted to be on the front row next to Michael. This is the best possible situation for the race. Having said that, I am starting on the wrong side on the track and it might be hard to gauge my start. It is great to only have the back of Michael's car to look at! I still had too much understeer this morning but we worked and worked on it and we got rid of most of it for the afternoon. As for the race, our main concern is Michael's position in the Championship."

Гонка (воскресение):
"I made a very good start which was 50% down to my clutch working really well. Unfortunately, the understeer we got rid of over the course of the weekend came back this afternoon. I could not have pushed harder or I would have gone off the track. My tyres were suffering because of this and that made the problem worse. Mika caught me a little bit by surprise when he got past. He seemed to close up very quickly in the last 150 metres before the chicane. I stayed on the right hand side of the track but he managed to get by. I think the cooler temperatures played against us as far as tyres are concerned. But now we go to Suzuka, my favourite track, and I think the final race of the season will be fun!"
