Preview:
"The long break since Nurburgring has done me good. I feel fit and refreshed after spending time with my family back home in Brazil. I have been training hard on my physical conditioning between testing. I'm looking forward to returning to racing in Suzuka. I'm encouraged by the testing we have done since the Luxembourg Grand Prix. We have found some big improvements in the car's handling, so much so that if we have a reliable weekend, a points finish would not be out of the question in Suzuka."

Свободные заезды (пятница):
"I simply lost too much time getting the set-up right this morning. We made a change between sessions which helped the balance of the car. Unfortunately there were yellow flags everywhere at the end so my quick run was wasted. The car feels better than it has done for the last few races so I'm sure we can beat our average in qualifying."

Квалификация (суббота):
"I'm disappointed to have qualified where I did after arriving here in a positive frame of mind following our recent test programme. I felt I got the maximum out of the car but we couldn't find that extra bit we thought we would in qualifying. I tried everything I could set-up wise but struggled for balance throughout the session. I'm looking forward to the race but I'd prefer to be attacking it from higher up the grid."

"I'm bitterly disappointed because I was expecting great things in Japan after the progress we made prior to the race. But it just didn't happen at all this weekend - we couldn't get the car to work at all. I made up a couple of places at the start but the rear of the car became very loose and since I wasn't really going anywhere in the race, we decided to retire."
