Свободные заезды (пятница):
"Today I got to grips with this track with my F1 single-seater for the very first time. I improved my time constantly although slowly because, with the track being so long, it is quite difficult to complete a whole lap without making any mistake. I tried several different types of tyre: later, with the Team engineers , after looking at the telemetry figures, we will decide which tyre will be used tomorrow for qualifying. Unfortunately, I could not use as I wished one of my sets of tyres, because Ralf Schumacher, who was coming back onto the track, came in my way right when I was supposed to score a good time."

Квалификация (суббота):
"In qualifying I made almost immediately a one and a half second better time than my free practice's, also thanks to a new type of tyre we have not used in the morning. In the following laps, anyway, I could not score an even better one. On such a long circuit, it is really difficult to 'thread' three good intermediate times in the same lap, therefore, even though my split times were sometimes acceptable, I could not score an overall good time."

Гонка (воскресение):
"I started very slowly so I managed to avoid the bad accident that involved almost all the cars which were in front of me. I just had to change the tyres, which were seriously damaged, because I passed over lots of debris which were on the track. It was a bad moment, I could not see anything because of the water, not even Nakano, which was in front of me. My race finished on 17th lap, when my car broke: I don't know what happened, but I felt that it was very difficult to drive."
